Reptiles & Amphibians — The Beauty of Hidden Life

Fine Art wildlife photography exploring reflections, camouflage and the delicate beauty of nature's quieter inhabitants

Some of nature's most fascinating subjects reveal themselves only when we take the time to observe the smallest details.

Among still waters and lush vegetation, turtles and frogs become part of a subtle world of reflections, textures and shades of green.

Through intimate compositions and natural light, these photographs celebrate the quiet beauty of creatures that often remain unnoticed.

The story behind the photographs

Reflections, textures and the art of disappearing

Photographing reptiles and amphibians invites a different way of looking at nature. Their movements are often discreet, their colours blend into the surrounding vegetation, and their presence can be revealed by the smallest detail. I am particularly drawn to the interplay of reflections, natural patterns and soft light.

In these photographs, a turtle mirrored in still water or a frog almost disappearing among the leaves becomes an opportunity to explore composition and subtle contrasts. Rather than focusing on the unusual, I seek to reveal the quiet elegance of these creatures and the beauty of their natural surroundings.
