Rajasthan — A Journey Through Sacred Heritage

Temples, palaces and living traditions across northern India

What draws me to Rajasthan is the extraordinary richness of its architectural and cultural heritage. From monumental forts to intricately carved temples, every place seems to reveal another layer of history, craftsmanship and tradition.

This album follows a journey through Jaipur, Udaipur, Ranakpur and Jodhpur, with additional stops at the Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri near Agra. Grand palaces and remarkable monuments stand alongside quieter details: sculpted marble, painted walls and moments of devotion.

Through these photographs, I wanted to capture more than the beauty of historic buildings. I was equally interested in the people, gestures and artistic details that keep this heritage alive.

The story behind the photographs

Architecture, devotion and living traditions

Rajasthan's forts, palaces and temples reveal a remarkable heritage of craftsmanship, history and spiritual traditions. From the intricate marble carvings of Ranakpur to the royal architecture of Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur, each place offers a different perspective on India's cultural richness.

What interests me most is the relationship between these historic places and the people who bring them to life. Moments of prayer, traditional performances and carefully preserved artistic details can be just as expressive as the monuments themselves.
