Denmark — Colours and Reflections of Copenhagen

A photographic journey through colourful waterfronts, historic streets and the creative spirit of Copenhagen

What I remember most about Copenhagen is its remarkable sense of colour and atmosphere. Along the waterfront of Nyhavn, historic façades, boats and changing reflections create compositions where architecture and water seem to interact.

This album brings together photographs of Copenhagen's canals, historic streets and the distinctive urban environment of Christiania. From elegant waterfront scenes to colourful murals and unexpected details, each photograph reveals a different aspect of the Danish capital.

Beyond the city's familiar landmarks, I was particularly drawn to its quieter visual moments: reflections on still water, the geometry of buildings, the textures of old streets and the creative energy found in unexpected places.

The story behind the photographs

Colours, canals and urban creativity

Nyhavn is one of Copenhagen's most recognisable waterfronts, known for its colourful historic buildings and traditional boats. Its changing reflections offer endless photographic possibilities.

Christiania reveals a very different atmosphere, where street art, unconventional architecture and creative expression contrast with the city's more traditional surroundings.

Together, these places reflect what interests me in urban photography: the relationship between colour, light, architecture and everyday life.
