Night Skies — Wonders of the Cosmic Realm

Fine Art astrophotography capturing the Moon, the Milky Way, celestial eclipses and the changing colours of the sky

The sky offers an ever-changing spectacle, from the subtle glow of the Moon to the distant light of countless stars.

Lunar phases, celestial eclipses and the sweeping arc of the Milky Way reveal the extraordinary beauty of the universe above us.

Through patience, timing and the interplay of light and darkness, I seek to capture these fleeting celestial moments.

The story behind the photographs

Between Earth and the stars

Photographing the sky is an exercise in patience and anticipation. The changing phases of the Moon, the delicate glow of the Milky Way and the rare spectacle of an eclipse each present their own challenges, requiring careful observation and precise timing.

The solar eclipse of August 12, 2026, brought a new dimension to this collection, alongside atmospheric skies photographed on the Île de Ré, along France's Atlantic coast. Together, these images explore the relationship between celestial phenomena and the landscapes beneath them, where a familiar horizon can suddenly become extraordinary.
