What fascinates me about the Plateau de Valensole is the extraordinary harmony of colour, light and landscape. In summer, endless rows of lavender transform the hills into shades of purple, creating patterns that seem to stretch towards the horizon.
This album brings together photographs of Provence's lavender fields, their changing colours and the smaller details that bring these landscapes to life. From sweeping views to a bee among the blossoms, each image offers a different perspective on this remarkable environment.
Beyond the beauty of the fields themselves, I am particularly drawn to the atmosphere of the place: the rhythm of the lavender rows, the warmth of the summer light and the quiet details that invite us to look more closely.

Lavender, summer light and the colours of Provence
Located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the Plateau de Valensole is renowned for its lavender and lavandin fields, which create distinctive purple landscapes during the summer flowering season.
The long rows of plants offer striking perspectives, while changing light transforms their colours throughout the day. Up close, flowers and visiting insects reveal another dimension of this landscape.
Together, these details reflect what interests me in nature photography: moving between the grandeur of a landscape and the delicate forms of life within it.
