The Story
One shell, one spiral, precise enough to have been drawn with a compass.
Resting on a dried stem, this small banded snail caught my attention through the remarkable geometry of its shell. What might have appeared unremarkable at first glance revealed an intricate arrangement of curves and bands when viewed up close.
I was fascinated by the way the spiral seemed to unfold from its centre, following a continuous movement that gave the shell both structure and elegance. Against the simplicity of the dried plant, its natural pattern became the entire focus of the photograph.
I chose to keep the composition uncluttered, allowing the shape, texture and subtle variations in colour to speak for themselves.
Spiral reflects my fascination with the precision found in nature. Sometimes, the smallest subjects reveal forms so beautifully ordered that they seem almost impossible to improve upon.

Presented in a handcrafted 20 mm solid wood Hamburg-style frame, available in Natural Oak or Alder Brown.
Combining the stability of Dibond with the warmth of solid wood, this presentation offers a refined, contemporary finish without additional glass or acrylic glazing.
Printing, Edition & Authenticity
All artworks are professionally produced by WhiteWall, an internationally recognised Fine Art printing laboratory known for its high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
Each presentation uses a carefully selected Fine Art paper:
Epson Fine Art Cotton Smooth Natural for unframed paper prints.
Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta for Dibond-mounted prints, framed or unframed.
Each size is produced in a strictly limited edition of 15 signed and numbered prints, shared across all available finishes. Choosing a different presentation does not create a separate edition.
Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Once the edition of 15 for a given size is complete, the work will no longer be available in that size.
In addition, no more than 30 prints of the same photograph will be produced across all sizes and finishes combined.
Once this overall limit is reached, the photograph will be permanently withdrawn from sale in every size and finish.
