After the Bloom
Provence, France · The Invisible Life
Signed Limited Edition Fine Art Print - From the Invisible Life collection
The Story
Past its peak, the poppy had begun to fold in on itself. Its red petals, still covered in tiny droplets of dew, were losing the familiar shape of a flower in full bloom. Yet I found something unexpectedly beautiful in that transformation.
Most flower photography celebrates the moment of perfection, when petals are open and colours are at their brightest. What drew me to this poppy was precisely the opposite. Its delicate folds, changing textures and scattered droplets revealed a quieter beauty, one that might easily be overlooked.
I wanted to photograph this stage with the same attention I would give to a flower at its peak. Against the darkness, the fading petals became almost sculptural, their imperfections giving the image its character.
After the Bloom reflects something I increasingly look for in nature: beauty that does not depend on perfection, and moments that remain worth noticing even as they begin to disappear.

Printing, Edition & Authenticity
All artworks are professionally produced by WhiteWall, an internationally recognised Fine Art printing laboratory known for its high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
Each presentation uses a carefully selected Fine Art paper:
Epson Fine Art Cotton Smooth Natural for unframed paper prints.
Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta for Dibond-mounted prints, framed or unframed.
Each size is produced in a strictly limited edition of 15 signed and numbered prints, shared across all available finishes. Choosing a different presentation does not create a separate edition.
Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Once the edition of 15 for a given size is complete, the work will no longer be available in that size.
In addition, no more than 30 prints of the same photograph will be produced across all sizes and finishes combined.
Once this overall limit is reached, the photograph will be permanently withdrawn from sale in every size and finish.
